Jiuzhaigou, literally meaning nine villages valley, is situated in northwest of Sichuan province and about 330 kms from provincial capital Chengdu. It is named so because it crosses nine Tibetan villages. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, nature reserve and AAAAA category tourist destination in China. It is famous for its breathtaking scenic views which comprises of lakes with crystal clear water, shoals, numerous waterfalls, snow capped mountains, preserved vegetations and wild life. The valley is very well preserved, well maintained and well organised for viewers. The walkways made up of wooden planks go right through the scenic areas which make the viewers experience and appreciate the beauty right on the site!
