Huangshan (Mandarin: 黄山)is a mountain range situated in the southern parts of Anhui Province of China. The range is famous for peculiar shaped granite peaks, pine trees and spectacular scenery. What surprised us more was the way the path is built. A more than 100 people capacity cable car took us up to the peaks ans then the stairways and walkways took us to these mesmerizing trekking experience! There was a blanket of fog with poor visibility in the morning (rather unfortunate 'cause I couldn't take a good clear picture). The fog and wind created a cool and eerie experience. After more than 6 hours of on foot journey, we finally reached the bus station which took us to the foothill town. We also visited Emerald Valley (翡翠谷)with beautiful waterfalls. Finally we visited an ancient town called Huizhou (徽州)with old streets and houses. The bunch of locks known as 'love padlocks' can be seen attached at many places in Huangshan.
